Ash Branch Flute in A 432Hz
Hand carved with traditional tools and techniques from a branch of Ash Wood found in my local woodland. This flute is tuned to the Key of A to 432Hz and sings with a full & woody timbre, balanced back pressure & a stable fundamental note.
This particular flute was carved out in the very woods I found the branch as part of a flute making workshop to show the participants. Felt so right to make the flute there and be able to sing to the forest upon it in reverie.

The block is also carved from Ash Wood, tied on with leather and adorned with Hazel wood beads. The Ogham of Ash has been added to the base of the instrument in honour of it's ancestral celtic name.
Coated in 2 cured layers of natural polymerising oil varnish to protect the wood whilst retaining the organic feel of the branch.
