Hazel & Fox Branch Flute in B 432Hz
Hand carved from a branch of Hazel wood foraged from my local woodlands here in Devon. This flute is tuned to the Key of B (to 432Hz A) singing fluently with a delightfully clear and warm timbre, with balanced back pressure and a stable fundamental note.

The Wolf totem is carved from reclaimed Teak sat atop a 'foot' of Iroko with the grain oriented facing down. The porous grain acts like a straw which absorbs the moisture when you play via capillary action. This means that the flute will play for much longer periods of time before 'wetting out' (moisture blocking the windway) compared to other Native-Style flutes.
Coated in 3 layers of natural oil based varnish to waterproof and protect the wood whilst retaining the natural feel of the branch. The inside of the S.A.C. (Slow Air Chamber) is charred and oiled to further protect this instrument from mould and moisture build up.
