1-Day Branch Flute Making Workshop 20th October

Join me in a beautiful garden & cosy Yurt space in Totnes, South Devon for an intimate 1 day workshop where you will birth your very own branch flute using traditional hand tools.

The day will be deep dive learning all about the mythos and magic of these instruments. You will be given a pre-hollowed out branch of your choice to become your flute. You'll learn how to safely use a carving knife to shape the wood and carve a block. I will then take you through the magical process of making your branch sing by measuring, drilling out and tuning the instrument.
There will then be time to decorate and adorn your flute with a variety of techniques and lots of varied materials.

When we have finished and are happy with our flutes we will bond with our newly birthed sonic wands with a flute lesson from myself and also a shamanic meditation journey held by my parter Isla-Rose.

I will provide lunch and teas + a warming cup of Cacao for those who want it.

This course is more accessible than the 2-day workshop and requires only basic knowledge of woodworking/ knife skills. If you would like to learn the skills from scratch or simply freshen up prior to the workshop I can offer a 1 day course on the essential skills.
