Hazel & Compton Dundon Yew Flute in G 432Hz

Hand carved from Hazel tree bones, this flute is tuned to the low Key of Eb (to 432Hz A). This sonic wand sings with a responsive, crisp & woody timbre with balanced back pressure and a stable fundamental note.

The block is carved from a special piece of Yew wood that was gifted to me from the 1000yr old Compton Dundon Yew. This is mounted atop of an end grain Pine foot which absorbs moisture when you play. This means that the flute will play for longer periods of time before 'wetting out' from moisture blocking the windway. The block is tied on with suede leather & adorned with Hazel beads.

Coated with layers of linseed oil and beeswax to protect the wood whilst retaining the natural feel of the branch.
