Hemlock Branch Flute in Ab 432Hz

Hand carved with traditional tools from a branch of Eastern Hemlock found in my local woodland. This flute is tuned to the Key of Ab (to 432Hz A) and she sings with a deep and woody timbre, balanced back pressure & a stable fundamental note.

The block is carved from the same branch mounted atop of an end grain Pine foot which absorbs moisture when you play. Tied on with leather and adorned with Hazel wood beads.

Coated in 2 layers of natural polymerising oil varnish to protect the wood whilst retaining the organic feel of the branch.
